This past weekend I experienced what RLS is. RLS, otherwise known as Restless Leg Syndrome, feels as if your legs are moving even when you are laying down. It's horrible and interrupted my sleep Friday and Saturday night. I had to cancel the boot camp I signed up for Saturday morning because I found myself awake at 3am watching a movie. My legs were in pure hell... kicking, twitching etc.
Sunday, my friend called to tell me that she thinks it's due to my lower intakes of sodium and working out. I'm drinking about 16 8oz servings of water a day and I've cut out Diet Cokes (which have sodium in them). The massive amounts of water are replacing the sodium in my body, so I tried adding a little bit of gatorade back into my diet to help. Luckily, I can say that I haven't had any other instances since then.
