I've decided that enough is enough and signed up for another month of Bootcamp for May. I didn't really think it through b/c I am going to the beach for 4 days in that month. Thinking about it more, it really wasn't a bad idea. Last year I was so motivated before I went to Maine, but then when I got back, all hell broke loose and I just STOPPED caring. When you are a lifelong dieter, you just cannot STOP caring! It's a daily struggle. I just couldn't help but eat all the wonderful Maine things I love when I was there, but they definately contributed to me gaining weight back and not caring. I did climb the tallest elevation I've ever climbed when I was there, so that had to negate SOME of the blueberry pie, whoopie pies and massive quanities of lobster I consumed right?
I'm a little less than a week away from starting bootcamp and have decided to try to get my 1 mile run another try. We start every class with a run and it's my most challenging part (as well as the stairs, but that's another story all together). I went to the Y last night to see what my time was - 14:35 for a mile! Not great! If this was bootcamp, I'd be eating into my class time for the strength exercises and those I don't mind.
I also decided that repetition worked for me before when dieting, so it's going to work for me now. Here's my food plan:
7am - Max Muscle Lean Protein Shake - 172 calories, 28 grams of protein
10am - Greek Yogurt (Voskos or Trader Joes are my fav) - 120 cal, 12 protein
12pm - Leftover from dinner the previous night OR my go-to Tuna pouches (2) with crackers. (180C, 22P)
3pm - Snack - Baby Bell Light (60Cal/6Protein) + Apple (49Cal/1Protein) or Strawberries (60Cal/1P) OR BOTH
5:30-6pm - Grilled Chicken (110Cal/26 Protein) with sweet potato (125Cal/3P) and something green (steamed veggies, salad...)
Dessert - 2 pieces of dove dark chocolate (73 Calories)
One of the following exercises:
1 hr bootcamp
1 mile run
45 min ellipitcal
+Weights & Abs
I realized that eating healthy for me would not happen without the following things:
My Rice cooker/steamer combo appliance my husband got me for Christmas a few years ago. It's a definate MUST!

You can have the rice cooking in the bottom, while your veggies are steaming up top. It's also a slow cooker! I love it.
The other is the Blender Ball Bottle that I use to shake my breakfast up with:
My Gaiam Everything Fits Gym Bag
TEA! It's so good for you and is one of my favorite treats:
Digital Food Scale
My favorite water bottle (you can find at Target sometimes or you can buy here):
Oh and my favorite way to make boring food taste good:
My favorite spices are:
Sandwich Sprinkle
Mural of Flavor
Greek
Northwoods
33rd & Galena
Bold Taco
There you have it! Those are the tools that help me get through it all.
