Becoming obsessed with nutrition and working out seems to be the only way that I can stay focused and lose weight. The second I stop caring, I'll order a whole pizza from Whole Foods and eat 3 pieces. That's what happened last night. I had the absolute worst cramps ever and left work early. I'm sure I could have grabbed something else on my way home, but I went to Whole Foods and got several slices of pizza from their hot bar and brought them home.
Today, I still have cramps, but am really really unhappy with myself for doing that. I rescheduled bootcamp for Saturday morning instead of getting my ass up at 5 and going this morning.
To redeem myself, I've worked out a time to do my own bootcamp this afternoon with my best friend. I'm excited about it because we used to be workout buddies before her wedding and both did really well. Now, things are different. We live on opposite sites of Nashville and she has the most awsome baby ever. I wouldn't change how things are at all, it's just different than it used to be. Growing up is hard and keeping close with your friends can be harder, so I just cherish any time I have with them.
I've worked out a little bootcamp for us this afternoon. She might hate me, but it's going to be good. The weather is great out and we are going to a mostly shaded park.
The paved path isn't very long at this park, so here's my idea using a combination of what I've learned and the Tabata timer on my phone (you can download this for free).
Run the trail to the end
Using the Tabata Timer (:20 of action, :10 of rest)
Squats x 8
Burpees x 8
Bicycle Crunches x 8
Suitcase Crunches x 8
Run to the other end of the trail
Repeat Tabata set
See how many times we can do that before we pass out or she punches me.

Also, my new favorite thing is peppermint drops in my water. Sounds crazy, but there are several benfits to peppermint. You can read more about it here.
